Doing Your Own Taxes

Posted By

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a great holiday. I personally didn’t go anywhere and just took a bunch of time off and it was a very relaxing and rewarding experience. Now that the new year has arrived, it’s time to start the year off strong with your new goals. One important thing that is usually missed as a goal is tax planning.

Many people think that it’s best for them to do their taxes themselves. Sometimes, this may be the case, however, there are countless tax laws and strategies that may apply to each person that could help them save money. That’s something a tax professional like me is trained to recognize. I know that some tax places get a bad reputation because the client just goes into their office and the professional just enters their information into the software. You just paid several hundred dollars to have someone else put it in Turbo Tax for you, why would you ever want to do that again?

What separates a great tax professional from a regular tax professional is the planning and strategy. If I told you that I could save you a couple thousand dollars, would you say “no”? How about if you knew exactly what to expect for next year? Are you self-employed and looking to buy a house soon? You most definitely need to plan accordingly to qualify for a home.

There are many reasons for you to hire a professional. If you’re ready to save yourself some time, money, and headache, I’ll be here!
